Our Background

The concept behind this program stems from personal experience. As a refugee, our founder is no stranger to the stigmatization of mental health in the community. Based off of research, children of refugee and immigrant families are less likely to attend therapy sessions or seek psychological help. Parents do not encourage it and are often uncomfortable speaking about it. This program will help students, parents and families learn about mental health with hopes of breaking the stigma and creating a support base.
